Elstree Helicopters are looking for a Marketing and Website Coordinator to join the ‘crew’ at their helicopter flying school based at Elstree Aerodrome near Borehamwood.

Working directly with the Head of Marketing this is an exceptional opportunity to accelerate your marketing know-how and get your ideas implemented. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running as soon as possible with good marketing knowledge with social media and website experience. The ability to work independently is a priority and be keen to expand their skill set in a fun, friendly work environment.

By joining our family-run business you will be to assisting with the whole marketing envelope for both Elstree Helicopters and our sister company Flying Pig Helicopters. Your duties will be varied and will include (but not be limited to)

  • Creating and posting engaging social media content across multiple platforms
  • Devising, organising and prioritising social content, planning daily posts, promos and campaigns
  • Looking for and responding to collab opportunities
  • Oversee our websites; updating and creating pages using WordPress and liaise with our web developers regards changes, additions or issues with the sites.
  • Growing SEO and web presence via website and online content
  • Creating new marketing campaigns to maintain sales and new business growth
  • Editing videos and content to keep online presence fresh and engaging
  • Monitoring and growing online engagement
  • Database cleaning
  • Sourcing merchandise and print
  • Creating and distributing monthly newsletters and e-marketing via Mailchimp
  • Organising events; Open Days, seasonal (Valentine’s, Mother’s Day, Christmas etc) and team socials
  • Get involved with student trip planning and logistics including our upcoming UK tour
  • Assist with blog content and creation including liaising with students, pilots and staff for stories to share.
  • Be able to ‘muck in’, multi-task and work well within a team as well as on their own initiative.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Social media/marketing background
  • Administration and/or customer service experience to assist with other business operations when required
  • A natural ability to work under instruction independently
  • An interest in aviation
  • A pro-active, positive attitude
  • Be able to ‘muck in’, multi-task and work well within a team as well as on their own initiative
  • Driving license as there are no direct public transport links to the aerodrome

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/equivalent or be able to demonstrate similar experience
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
