IT Support Technician (London Office Based)

 

Jo Cowen Architects is looking for IT Support Technician to join its practice in London. This is a full time in office role at our studio in Chelsea.

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and proactive IT minded individual which has a good understanding of IT hardware and software in architectural environment and would be part of the wider IT Team. 

 

The role

  • Liase with our IT Team on all IT related problems
  • Constantly check internal helpdesk ticketing system and prioritise urgent issues to be resolved
  • Resolve issues that remote IT support can’t quite fix
  • Provide day-to-day IT support to staff
  • Be proactive and monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues with our IT Team to minimize downtime
  • Help to prepare hardware and software for new starters
  • Help with the annual upgrade of desktop hardware
  • Help with the installations, updates and upgrades of software (Revit / MicroStation / SketchUp / Enscape / Adobe etc.)
  • Maintain record of current hardware
  • Maintain record of current software and licencing
  • General maintenance of hardware to make sure it’s in a good working condition
  • Prepare Microsoft Teams AV in meeting rooms prior to meetings
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity

Desirable additional skills

  • Have a working knowledge of cPanel and phpMyAdmin
  • Have a working knowledge of WordPress based websites and content updates
