Job Title : L3 Support - Software Engineer, Investment Platform

Location: Central London

Duration: 12 month initial contract

Setup: Inside IR35 (umbrella setup)

Hybrid: 2 days remote, 3 days onsite


Key Requirements :

  • Strong experience with Python, Java, C#, Unix shell scripting, and job scheduling tools like Autosys or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure SQL and other database technologies, including NoSQL.
  • Experience with messaging platforms, ideally Kafka.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization, particularly Kubernetes.

We are looking for a skilled software engineer to:

  • Support, analyze, and develop digital products and services for both clients and internal teams.
  • Apply a wide range of software engineering practices, from feature development to automated testing and deployment.
  • Ensure the quality, security, and reliability of solutions by applying best practices and meeting both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Build observability into solutions, monitor production health, resolve incidents, and remediate the root causes of issues.
  • Advocate for client needs, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to engineering culture and internal communities.


Qualifications :

  • Strong background in Python, Java, C#, Unix shell scripting, and job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys).
  • Experience with cloud technologies, preferably on Microsoft Azure (Kubernetes Service, Container Apps, App Service, Functions, Event Grid, and Service Bus).
  • Proficiency in messaging platforms like Kafka and containerization (Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of microservices and event-driven architecture is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and DevOps practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Eagerness to learn, innovate, and unravel complex issues.
