Overview
This role will require involvement at all stages of the testing lifecycle, with equal emphasis on the production of test documentation and the conducting of testing on Payment systems.
The role will involve both producing and executing test plans and test scripts within a formally agreed schedule, as well as customer and other 3rd party liaison.
Responsibilities
Production of test documentation such as test plans and test scripts / cases.
Advising on the scope of functionality requiring testing and the associated time and resource requirements.
Conducting all types of testing including Unit, Skim, System, Functional, Regression, Integration, Stress, Certification and Client end to end testing.
Creating test scripts on the available test tools and simulators.
Recording of results with the appropriate evidence.
Problem log management, from initial analysis through to resolution.
Liaison with customers and suppliers, both internal and external, to ensure successful resolution of issues found in testing.
Analysing client requirements for the purpose of defining the testing requirements.
Peer reviewing of testing documentation that has been produced.
Set-up and maintenance of test tools and simulators.
Feed into the continuous improvement of testing processes and procedures.
Understand the need for confidentiality when dealing with customer information and payments information.
Qualifications

Desired Technical Skills:
Databases (MS-SQL, MySQL)
Good understanding of one or more operating system, ideally Windows or Linux
Desired Knowledge / Experience:
Payment systems and services e.g. Knowledge of card schemes
Payment Systems Software e.g. Postilion, Lusis Tango
Payment Simulator Software e.g. Iliad T3 Switch
Microsoft Office family of products
PCI DSS
Test planning and manual testing
Structured Analysis Methods
Qualifications :
~ Degree Level Qualification (preferably IT related) or Recognised Industry Qualification (e.g. ISTQB)
