About the role

We are looking for a Treasury Payments Administrator to assist the Accounts Payable & Cash Management Supervisor to provide a full range of cashiering services to the Just Retirement Group of companies, ensuring our customers, investors and suppliers are paid in a timely manner.

You will have exposure to the wider treasury function as well as the business model for each company in the group. In addition, the Treasury Back Office team are considered one of the 'faces' of Finance - awareness of the impacts on the end customer is vital - and as such play an important role in representing the Finance department.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of daily cash management via Treasury Management System
  • Administration & processing of all correctly approved payment requests (manual or systems generated), including the annuity payroll, ensuring the correct authorisation and control protocols have been followed
  • Administration & processing of weekly supplier BACS payment end to end process
  • Daily update of IRIS suspense account
  • Resolution of operational and financial queries
  • Posting monthly company credit card expenses into General Ledger, ensuring there is appropriate supporting evidence. Reconciliation of the credit card control account.
  • Preparation of monthly Aged Creditor reconciliation, investigating and clearing balances as appropriate.
  • Ad hoc General Ledger journal entry
  • Ad-hoc tasks as requested
  • Back Office cover for colleagues as required
  • Production and analysis of weekly reporting from Workday Expenses module and Oracle, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
Skills & Experience
  • Experience in Accounts Payable is essential
  • Prior Purchase Ledger experience is desirable
  • Financial Services experience is desirable but not essential
  • Experience using Excel
  • Good problem analysis and pro-active resolution skills.
  • Understanding of the group's customers and products.
  • Attention to Detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
