Sponsorship IS available THE BUSINESS Our client is a market leading Geo-Environmental business, due to continued growth, they seek to appoint a talented engineer to their team. A Geo-Environmental Engineer is required to join a growing Geo-Environmental company in the North East who work with a wide range of clients nationwide comprising developers, engineers, contractors and councils. In your role as a Geo-Environmental Engineer you will be involved in all aspects of Ground Investigation on projects to contribute to issuing the final factual and interpretive reports to the client’s satisfaction. This is a great opportunity to gain experience on site and in the office. THE ROLE Undertaking Preliminary Risk Assessments (Phase 1 Desk Studies) Supervising Ground Investigations for both environmental and/or geotechnical purposes. Logging of soil and bedrock to current standards. Management of projects. Supporting and co-ordinating a variety of projects. Preparing health and safety documentation. Scheduling soil and groundwater samples for laboratory testing. Gas and groundwater monitoring. Factual and Interpretative Geo-environmental reporting. THE PERSON Demonstrate internal and external communication skills. Ability to apply technical knowledge in problem solving. Good verbal and written communication skills. Good attention to detail. Use own initiative. Have a responsible attitude to work. Hold a full valid UK Driver’s license.
