As Field Service Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Assist the customer with any technical issues by phone support, with response-time as defined within customer contract (typically one working hour due to critical nature of equipment)
  • Attend customer site to troubleshoot and repair any reported equipment faults, with response-time typically same-day or next-working-day
  • Complete all preventative maintenance in accordance with defined schedules
  • Install any upgrades necessary to maintain Instrument performance, safety, and reliability in accordance with defined deadlines.
  • Document all service activity within business corporate service management application, and in accordance with defined standards and time frames.
  • Provide first level engineering support for installation and decommissioning of instruments

To be considered for the role of Field Service Engineer, you'll need the following experience:

  • Experience working with Immunoassay / Molecular Diagnostic/ biomedical equipment is essential
  • Must have Minimum of 2 years previous experience as a field based service engineer in a clinical/ medical environment
  • Demonstrable technical aptitude/ ability for working with Liquid handling/ robotic laboratory equipment
  • Possibly considered: complex electro-mechanical equipment gained in a highly regulated industry would be considered
  • Must hold a valid driving licence
  • Located within One Hour commute of central Dartford, ideally Kent side.
