About The Role:

The Crowd are working with a large, prestigious international architecture practice that are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their London team.

This established, famed and highly desirable practice that develop innovative designs for a range of sectors are looking for someone to support the Business Development Lead and Bids Manager with their new business strategy and bidding efforts. This close knit and highly successful team will work together to identify and secure new opportunities and further expand their reach and market share. You will be a part of the wider operations team in London and liaise with their international subsidiaries to develop the new business strategy globally. The ideal person will have experience in a business development role within the architecture/design industry and have a solid understanding of the UK sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support with the business development efforts and new business strategy for the UK team
  • Develop initiatives supporting project acquisition and new business creation
  • Enhance the studio’s UK market presence and lead ventures in submarkets and sectors
  • Expand connections with clients, consultants, and collaborators
  • Spearhead special projects, convert leads into projects, and manage acquisitions
  • Oversee the submission process for RFPs/RFQs/RFIs and host meetings with potential clients
  • Conduct office and project tours, represent the studio at UK events and conferences
  • Participate in market research, contribute to leadership pipeline meetings, and assist in maintaining CRM databases
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc status updates, collaborating with internal departments

Key Skills/Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role in the architecture/built environment
  • Strong understanding of UK architecture, building procedures, and urban planning
  • Strong understanding of international projects, particularly within the EMEA regions
  • Proficient in strategising new business development initiatives
  • Skilled in independently producing content, including acquisitions and PQs
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign.
  • Proactive approach to project delivery and follow-up
  • Self-disciplined and adept at working in ad-hoc environments
  • Proficiency in Arabic admirable
