To engage audiences across the globe to accelerate conservation impact, influence decision makers and to build the WWF brand;
To facilitate and coordinate the development and alignment to a global brand, media and communications strategy;
To provide a Centre of Excellence to the Network and convene the Communications Community in terms of communications practice, media (digital, broadcast, print), coordination across Practices, techniques, platforms and internal communications;
To provide common technology platforms Network-wide to enable communication with key audiences.
Supports Head Network Communications with the execution of the leadership communications plan.
In consultation with the Head NC, develops and implements communications strategies related to executive communications and contributes to building the profile of WWF Director General and President, plus other key leaders internally and on select social media channels and events.
Provides overall support to the Head of Network Communications, particularly in case of leadership communications and crisis communications.
In collaboration with the Communications leadership team, horizon scan for relevant external issues in order to deliver quality internal communication content for global internal channels.
Manages and maintains internal communications channels and platforms, including identifying gaps and/or recommending new and innovative tools and partnerships to address internal communications needs, particularly related to leadership communications.
Builds internal communications capacity globally by sharing best practices and providing guidance, advice, support, and where possible, training to relevant staff, offices, programmes or global Practice communities.
Leadership communications
Support Head Network Communications with the execution of the leadership communications plan by independently managing key work areas such as social media strategy for Director General
Work closely with the Director General’s office to coordinate and manage internal requests for speaking engagements, video messages, op-eds, social media posts etc.
Oversee content strategy and design for leadership communications to ensure alignment on key messages and approach internally and externally (video editing, slide design, staff updates, events etc.)
Manage the process, channels and tools for regular internal leadership communications
In consultation with the Head, Network Communications, manages the network communications strategy and plans for key high level events
Work closely together with Senior Director External Relations and Head Network Communications on strategic communications around rolling out newly designed leadership narrative to the network and beyond
Execute network communications planning for critical, often sensitive work areas, including updates related to WWF’s work and our approach to inclusive conservation, as well as internal stakeholder management process
WWF International communications
Co-develop and manage an enhanced internal communications strategy for WWF INT, to unite the secretariat + Country Offices, including leadership meetings, regular staff updates, all staff meetings, WorkPlace group etc.
Liaises and collaborates closely with People & Culture and Brand teams.
Play a key role in managing communications around critical change management processes incl. communications strategy development, content production, stakeholder engagement etc.
Crisis communications
~ Support Head Network Communications with crisis communications (internal audiences)

Degree in communications, PR, journalism or related subject;
At least 7 years’ relevant professional experience in journalism, PR, or organisational communications.
Ability to deliver multiple simultaneous projects
Articulate, creative, passionate, flexible and tenacious
Excellent written and spoken English – other languages an advantage
Experience in translating complex information into relatable content
Video production and editing skills an advantage
Works closely with Director General’s office, senior leadership team and CEOs from the WWF Network
Works in partnership with other units and divisions at WWF International such as media, digital and operations.
