As a Behaviour Mentor in a Primary School working with Year 5 students in Leicester, your role is crucial in supporting the social and emotional well-being of students, as well as fostering a positive learning environment. Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to gather information about students' behaviour.
Collaborate with the school's leadership team and other support staff to address critical incidents.
Foster a sense of community and cooperation among students.
Data Collection and Monitoring:
Use data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make adjustments as needed.
Professional Development:
Attend relevant workshops and training sessions to enhance your skills.
Create a classroom or school-wide reward system.
Social Skills Training:
Conduct social skills groups to enhance students' abilities to interact positively with peers and adults.
Establish clear professional boundaries while building positive relationships with students.
Collaborate with other school staff to ensure a coordinated approach to behaviour support.Great referral scheme - recommend a friend and earn vouchers.
* Help with lesson planning - our support doesn't stop once we've secured you a placement
* To join us and be successful in this Youth Worker role, we are looking for:
* Experienced Youth Workers or people with experience of working with children and young people
* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks - we can assist you with this
