Join our new Thetford office as a Lettings Agent Apprentice and learn everything you need to know to become a successful lettings agent. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in various aspects of the lettings process, from customer interaction to property management. You will be part of a small, friendly team dedicated to providing excellent service to our clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with Customers:

    • Interact with potential tenants and landlords both in person and over the phone.
    • Provide information and assistance to clients, helping them navigate the lettings process.

  • Registering Customers:

    • Register new clients in our database.
    • Ensure all customer information is accurately recorded and up to date.

  • Helping Customers Find the Perfect Property:

    • Assist clients in finding properties that match their needs and preferences.
    • Provide detailed information about available properties and arrange viewings.

  • Attending Viewings:

    • Accompany clients on property viewings.
    • Highlight the features and benefits of each property.

  • Drawing Up Tenancy Agreements:

    • Prepare tenancy agreements for new leases.
    • Ensure all legal requirements and company policies are met in the agreements.

  • Moving Tenants Into Their New Homes:

    • Facilitate the move-in process for new tenants.
    • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed and keys are handed over.

  • Dealing with Maintenance Issues:

    • Act as the first point of contact for tenants reporting maintenance issues.
    • Coordinate with contractors to resolve maintenance problems promptly.

  • Sending Out Works Orders to Contractors:

    • Prepare and send work orders to contractors for maintenance and repair tasks.
    • Follow up to ensure work is completed to a high standard.

  • Providing Excellent Customer Service:

    • Deliver outstanding customer service to all clients.
    • Address and resolve any issues or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Driving License and Own Car:Required for attending viewings and conducting other work-related travel.
  • Ability to Work Saturdays:Must be available to work on Saturdays as part of the regular schedule.
  • Customer Service Experience Preferred but Not Essential:Previous experience in customer service is advantageous.
  • Confidence in Communication:Must be comfortable and confident speaking with people both on the phone and in person.
