Are you looking for a rewarding part-time role in an SEN school? We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Midday Meal Supervisor to join a well-established school in West London. This is a long-term position starting from September 2024, working days would be Monday to Friday working 2 hours a day.

Responsibilities:

  1. Providing a safe and inclusive environment for students during their midday meal break
  2. Ensuring students are escorted and supervised in an orderly manner to and from the dining area
  3. Assisting students with their meals, including serving food and drinks
  4. Encouraging positive eating habits and promoting a healthy diet
  5. Monitoring students' behavior and resolving any conflicts or issues that may arise
  6. Assisting students with personal care tasks, such as feeding and toileting, as required
  7. Working closely with other staff members to create a cohesive and supportive team environment

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults, preferably in an SEN setting
  • A patient and compassionate nature, with a genuine desire to support and nurture students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • A basic understanding of safeguarding and health and safety procedures
