Head of Performing Arts, including Teacher of Drama and Dance OVERVIEWWe are seeking to appoint a talented, inspirational, experienced and enthusiastic Head of Performing Arts (including teacher of Drama and Dance) to join a small, supportive and professional team within our school. The successful candidate will be passionate about the Performing Arts and Musical Theatre in particular, have a proven track record of producing impressive big-scale shows, be a skilled classroom practitioner, and have unending amounts of energy. They will hold a degree level qualification and QTS. There will be an expectation to deliver a broad offering outside of the classroom including extra-curricular clubs such as Drama club and Dance groups across the age range. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher with either primary or secondary experience to deliver a vision for inclusive excellence in the Performing Arts, Drama and Dance.
Main Responsibilities:
To assist the Head, Deputy, Director of Music and wider staff team in providing high quality learning experiences for pupils, appropriate to their age and stage of development ensuring excellent academic progress and to be responsible for pupils’ care, wellbeing and happiness in line with the school vision, ethos and aims.
Hours: Part time, 3/4 days a week, permanent role. 8am – 4pm, with at least two nights a week until 5:30pm (or equivalent club time across the week) plus additional meetings as required.
Salary: Dependent on relevant skills and experience
