What’s the role?

Working closely with The Beam Room and ZOE’s in-house PR & Communications team, we are looking for an outstanding, highly motivated, proactive, detail-oriented senior Account Director who thrives in a fast-paced, growth environment. Together with our Creative Director and MD, you will lead the client relationship ensuring a world class service experience and achievement of exceptional outcomes. The Account Director will oversee the PR team and partner with ZOE with responsibility for output and client liaison, executing comms campaigns, proactive press office and campaign planning, supporting on issues and reputation management and spokesperson interviews. You will be responsible for delivering best in class communications for a category leader in health and wellbeing, building brand awareness, driving a drumbeat of top tier earned media in the UK market, bringing stories and novel science to life.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with Directors and Account team to deliver consistent excellence and impactful results
  • Partner with the ZOE PR & Comms team to ensure the smooth co-ordination of the relationship, managing agency performance
  • Draft and deliver against PR & Communications strategy and quarterly KPIs
  • Utilise relationships with top tier media to position ZOE as a category leader, educate on world class science and secure strong coverage
  • Nurturing the Account team, monitoring and developing performance and providing career counsel
  • Overseeing PR Campaigns and drafting of all releases, plans, briefing documents, commentary, reporting and relevant copy
  • Partner on quarterly Communications planning, strategy, creative media ideas and broader initiatives that require comms support
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors, with a close eye on science, health, wellness and technology
  • Lead weekly update Client calls and Agency internal progress/strategy meetings and calls
  • Lead on monthly reporting, alongside any ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Support on issues and reputational management, swiftly handling reactive media requests from high-profile publications with the ZOE in-house team

This role would be a good fit if you:

  • Ideally 8+ years experience of PR within a high growth, scale up environment, ideally in health, wellness and/or the science environment
  • Have proven leadership and management experience within PR Agency, overseeing everything from daily coverage updates to monthly reports
  • Are a skilled and proven client lead with experience of providing senior counsel to clients
  • Have a good industry network and relationships with Tier 1 media
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude, are highly organised and detailed oriented, with excellent relationship, planning and project management skills
  • Are in tune with the news agenda and can spot and react to news opportunities
  • Are a creative and lateral thinker and can spot, and execute, strong newsjacking opportunities
  • Are driven, ambitious and commercial with an obsession for client service
  • Have team management and development experience, overseeing and driving performance
  • Proven track record of successfully implemented PR campaigns
  • An authentic collaborator and team player
  • Are a polished presenter, virtually or in-person with senior stakeholders and media
  • Have brilliant interpersonal skills with an approachable, friendly inclusive mindset
  • Have the ability to work quickly and efficiently without compromise on quality
  • Can effectively analyse complex data and interpret it for a range of audiences
  • Have experience with reputational and crisis management within a fast-paced environment

Location

  • Mostly remote / hybrid but flexible. Time requirement at The Beam Room offices in North London to be discussed / agreed
