To provide high quality CBT to adults with common mental health problems including those with a degree of complexity.

To deliver a CBT service in accordance with NICE guidelines, meeting key performance indicators and agreed activity levels.
To work to the agreed model and number of clinical contacts per week as set by the service
To provide advice and consultation on clients' care, to non-CBT colleagues and to non-professional carers.
To utilise research skills for audit policy and service development and research within the areas served by the team.
To work with the Team Leader and Clinical Leads to provide a co-production role in managing waiting times, prevalence and recovery
To promote wellbeing and social inclusion.

Applicants who have not completed their training as a CBT therapist will not be considered. Mindsmatter CBT Therapists offer accessible screening to ensure appropriate referrals to the service , assessment and treatment for mild to moderate mental health problems, giving service users a greater degree of choice and flexibility by providing an extensive menu of therapies including psycho-education courses, 1:1 therapy, and group and computerised CBT programs.


You will have a proven track record of delivering high quality service outcomes against robust performance measures and have excellent interpersonal qualities time management skills an ability to work autonomously and an enthusiasm for working in an ever-developing IAPT environment.


We provide rapid accessible mental health screening, assessment and treatment whilst enabling people accessing the service to have a collaborative role in the choice of intervention they receive.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.


The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.

Formally recognised Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Post Graduate (Master's Level) diploma
AND Professional qualification in health or social care, e.g. Highly developed specialist knowledge of the theory and practice of cognitive behaviour therapy.
Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to clients, their families, carers and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
Knowledge of the NHS Talking Therapies (formerly IAPT) model and a willingness to develop the service clinically.
An understanding of the key performance indicators in NHS Talking Therapies services and how they relate to clinical practice.

Significant experience of delivering specialist Cognitive Behaviour Therapy assessment and treatment of clients in Adult Mental Health, and managing own clinical caseload of therapy clients safely and effectively
Experience of managing risk and safeguarding concerns according to relevant policies
Experience of Promoting wellbeing and social inclusion
