Salary: £90,000 per annum

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse large-scale genomic datasets to identify patterns, variations, and associations relevant to our research objectives.
  • Develop and implement advanced algorithms and computational models for genomic data analysis and interpretation.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate genomic data with other biological, clinical, and omics data types.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of experiments to generate high-quality genomic data.
  • Stay current with advancements in genomics, bioinformatics, and data science, and apply new methodologies and tools to enhance our capabilities.

Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent experience in genomics, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in genomic data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods and machine learning techniques applied to genomic data.
  • Experience working with next-generation sequencing (NGS) data and relevant bioinformatics tools (e.g., BWA, GATK, Samtools).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
