As the Digital Trading Manager for the Food category, you will be responsible for owning and driving the performance and growth of the Food categories across digital channels, ensuring that all strategies are brilliantly executed to deliver the maximum profitability.

The role balances the strategic with the everyday needs of managing a large digital team. It’s a fast pace and highly seasonal trading environment, with ever changing scenarios and opportunities, where relationships and stakeholder engagement is paramount.

Develop and execute Digital strategy across the food categories.
Drive improvements in digital KPIs in line with commercial targets for the Food trading division.
Produce a clear Food Category Plan, ensuring Digital Trading plays a pivotal role in the wider business success.
Collaboratively work with other Trading Managers within the business on key projects to enhance the overall offering and drive the digital team success.
Lead, coach and mentor a team of Digital Trading Executives. Ensure appropriate training needs are identified to ensure the team achieve individual potential.
Build strong relationships with strategic suppliers, engaging directly with digital teams to deliver win-win scenarios with these brands.

Proven experience of Digital Trading within Retail / FMCG.
Confident decision maker and use sound commercial judgement, to prioritise, communicate and deal effectively within the fast-changing retail sector.
Strong team manager experienced in leading, coaching and mentoring a successful team
Confident and proficient in using data analysis and digital tools & interpretating data to make sound commercial decisions
