Senior Payroll Administrator

In this role you will support the Payroll Supervisor in overseeing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of payments to employees. You will also work to ease processes and ensure efficiency within your work, and that of the wider payroll team.
Reporting to the Payroll Lead, you will provide guidance on relevant legislation, and be a point of contact for employees with any queries related to payroll.
This permanent role would suit an organised individual with experience in a payroll position and a knowledge of systems. Experience within the retail or manufacturing sectors would give an advantage but is not required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Payroll supervisor to ensure key tasks and deadlines are met
- Contribute to the wider team by sharing your own knowledge and experience
- Knowledge of statutory legislation relating to PAYE, National Insurance, Statutory payments, and Pensions
- Point of contact for queries and escalations for managers and employees within the business
- Work to ensure efficient ways of working within the team
- Take a lead on the processing and finalising of monthly payrolls in line with payroll schedules
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Self-motivation and flexibility with strong organisational, planning and administrative skills.
- The ability to handle confidential information with care
- Salary of up to £28k DOE
