The work involves a range of preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance as required. Diagnostic trouble shooting and problem analysis are essential skills. Client Details The client is a blue-chip manufacturer based in Thirsk. Description The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will work Mon-Fri 6am-4pm one week 8:30am-7:30pm the next and be responsible for: Perform full range of plant maintenance tasks and repairs on a proactive/planned and reactive basis. Use predictive maintenance techniques such as thermo-graphic imaging and vibration analysis as well as experience, skill and judgement to make regular assessments of the plant condition Implement equipment reliability improvements and develop new maintenance work-flow methods and techniques. Process optimisation to ensure maximum efficiency Employ Preventive/Predictive maintenance techniques to achieve benchmark plant reliability Ensure availability of critical spares Manage own work flows to remain within maintenance budget Oversee projects when required Ensure adherenvce to safe system of work, ppe permits, risk assessment etcProfile The successful Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will have: Technical school higher qualification (NVQ) or Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge with relevant hands on experience. Electrical qualification. Basic understanding of preventtitive/predictive maintenance techniques. Excellent technical, analytical and fault-finding skills. Good knowledge of Maintenance process and activities. PC literate, competent computer skills. Proven continuous improvement skills. Working knowledge of technical English (verbal and written). Experience in supervising contractors. IPAF License. Confined Space trained. Mansafe system trained.Job Offer Pension Double matched by employer up to 10%, i.e. employee 5% employer 10% 33 Days Holiday (Bank holidays to be worked except Xmas, Boxing Day and New Year.
