VANRATH are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to work for an established engineering company in Northern Ireland Remuneration: £Competitive DOE + Package Client Our client is a leading engineering company delivering on projects across NI, ROI and GB.
They have a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis, working in Belfast or Co.
Tyrone This is a great opportunity to join a leading engineering company and progress your career within a business that encourages career development Responsibilities: Speak with suppliers and sub-contractors to maintain or form new working relationships to ensure the most competitive tender possible for each specific project Carry out on-site measurements of works to ensure all parties are in agreement Conduct other duties as directed by management Co-ordinate work effort to ensure that the requirements of the client are delivered Measure and value completed work and variations in work during contracts, for agreement of interim payments and the final account Liaise with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure information, costs, profitability and value meet the requirements of each project Compile subcontract orders for approval Visit site to measure and value works completed Assess subcontractor payment entitlement and process payments Carry out reconciliation of cost and value to date/forecast to keep the management team informed of project performance Work closely with contract and site management staff to support the smooth running of the office and the site, carrying out other duties as required Attend pre-contract meetings, liaise with a wide range of construction professionals, and ensure timely completion of agreed actions Other Adhoc Duties The Ideal Person: Open to varying experience as a QS within the Construction Industry Highly motivated hard-working individual who can work on their own or as part as a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Excellent written and verbal communications skills Applicants must have a clean driving license Ability to multitask and work under pressure String interpersonal and organisational skills Excellent communication skills Self-motivated, with a 'can-do' approach to work and willingness to learn and assist Organised and disciplined in your planning an approach to work Work well and confidently as part of a team in a busy environment For further information on this vacancy, or any other Built Environment job in Belfast or wider Northern Ireland, please apply via the link below or contact John Gallagher for a confidential discussion.
