This is a newly created position within our Statutory Accounting Team here at Worldpay, we are building out a new multinational team to manage the statutory Audit process. We are seeking an experienced Senior Director - Statutory Controller to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working within a multinational company, with a strong background in preparing statutory financial statements and reports for multiple regulated and non-regulated legal entities.
As the Statutory Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate financial records.
Lead a team to prepare and review statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations for regulated and non-regulated legal entities within the multinational company.
Maintain a deep understanding of applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and drive process improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, legal, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment on financial reporting matters and support business initiatives.
Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations and assess the potential impact on financial reporting processes and controls.
Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting and mitigate risks.
Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required by senior management, providing financial expertise and insights to drive decision-making.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, with a focus on statutory accounting and regulatory compliance within a multinational company.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills.
