KURY UK Ltd is part ofan international company, Kury Groupe, 100% dedicated to the nuclear field with 23 years of experience in nuclear engineering.
Since then, we have been working with EDF ( French Electricity Producer ). We are involved in several nuclear projects, including FA3 EPR (France), the French fleet, Taishan EPR (China), Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.
Our human-sized structure (100 employees worldwide) allows us to devote to mentoring and training our engineers . We take a special care to our employees’ development by ensuring them quality projects through which they will increase their skills.
You enjoy analising concrete problems, finding solutions and then setting them up.
Getting involved in significant industrial and engineering projects involving very demanding precautions as regards industrial safety captivates you.
Your good analytical skills, sense of logic, aptitude for synthesizing and your scientific knowledge will allow you to adapt quickly to multi-system environments.
You like the idea of working on Projects and Quality matters to you.
As the Technical Lead you will provide technical oversight of the contract(s), including the surveillance of technical documentation and especially calculation notes, the management and the resolution of open points and changes related to Design, Manufacturing and Qualification. You will also be responsible for keeping the contract at the configuration compliant with the project progress.
In order to do this, you will work closely with the relevant disciplines included in the project but also within the client and the suppliers to ensure the technical requirements are met.
Surveillance of calculation notes and technical drawings from the contractor.
· Control and Management of the evolution of the contract and design changes.
· Reviewing and approving contract amendments and exemptions (CTSs, ERs).
· Liaising with RD and client management teams to communicate progress, risks, issues and planning to support contract delivery.
· Ensuring qualification activities are progressing according to the contract progress and site needs.
· Help to upskill other members of the team, including other less experienced TLs.
During the first months, you can count on the KURY Team to assist you all along your projects.
This experience will give you the opportunity to move on to other types of equipment or projects in the medium term: you will tackle varied but complementary projects, studies and technical topics. Experience working on an EPR project, operating nuclear power plant or on an industrial site.
· Strong knowledge and experience in structural mechanics and load path analysis.
· Technical background in steel structures calculation, beam analysis, mechanical behaviours.
· Relevant experience in Contract management, documentary surveillance and Project management.
· IT literate.
· Experience using change-management, commercial and deliverable management systems (UKDC, UKICM, OPM, CEMAR, Teamcenter) is an advantage.
· French-speaking and reading would be an advantage.
