Senior EC&I Design Engineer Manchester 37.5 Hours per week £55,000 to £65,000 dependant on experienceOur client provides an extensive range of services and products, including control panel and MCC manufacture, electrical and mechanical system design, certified hazardous area designs, PLC and SCADA programming, certified electrical and mechanical installations, full commissioning services and project management.In this role, you will support a dynamic, growing business, within the engineering industry, you will be working within the engineering team providing a professional and excellent service whilst supporting all departments and the company with the necessary design duties.Reliability, loyalty and flexibility are essential qualities along with an ability to use initiative and work both unsupervised and as part of a team.Minimum Qualifications/Experience Minimum HNC/HND or graduate qualifiedUnderstanding of control principles and circuitsSoftware Design and implementationKnowledge/experience of Auto-CAD or EPLANKnowledge/experience of Amtech, cable design, cable containment and termination principles are essential5-10 years relevant industrial experienceDriving LicenceExcellent organisational and engineering skills.Good computer skills, Word, Excel OutlookElectrical knowledge essential Desirable Qualifications/Experience Chartered professional registration What will your role as a Senior EC&I Design Engineer look like?Undertaking of site surveys Assisting with quotations for new projectsCo-ordinating deliveries of detailed designsEnsuring continuous improvement & QA of detailed designsProduction of detailed electrical, control & instrument schematics drawingsProduction of design dossiers (Site layout drawings, cable routing designs, cable installations, drawings, cable schedules, instrument loops, instrument specification, instrument hook ups, test documentation, etc)Project management from initial order receipt to client handoverOn-site testing/commissioning/supporting installation teamSpecification of electrical equipmentWorking in line with the company ISO9001 and QA documentationPLC Software Design, coding, testing, implementation & commissioningHMI Screen and software creation What can you expect in return?Remuneration Package: 25 days annual leave plus Statutory Bank Holidays.SSP in accordance with government Pension Scheme (after 3 months probationary period)
