Finance Transactional Support Officer

* £25,811 plus £1,750 location allowance and excellent benefits including Civil Service pension

At any moment in time, we have hundreds of active projects around the world, each with varying revenue streams. Our Finance team not only take great pride to understand the value in the financial management of these projects, they ensure everything is compliant with the National Audit Office to help deliver year end accounts to Parliament.

This is Finance with a twist, Now, you’ve got the opportunity to join them.

At FCDO Services, we protect the UK’s interests at home and overseas. We design and construct secure government buildings, courier diplomatic packages worldwide, safeguard government tech, and a whole lot more. Switching between billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable, you’ll be a key member of the team. Billing will see you setting up and maintaining projects, at the same time as releasing revenue and invoicing our customer on our secure system. The second, accounts receivable, is all about issuing customer invoices, communicating with them by telephone and email to secure payments and monitoring payments. Accounts payable will see you arranging a wide range of supplier payments. Either way, attention to detail and accuracy is vital, as all functions have a significant impact on our financial and commercial performance. You’ll resolve issues too, while answering queries from, and building relationships with, suppliers and colleagues throughout FCDO Services.

Relevant experience would be an asset, but it’s not essential. We’re more interested in your numerical ability, customer service skills and positive, proactive approach. Your ability to handle and interpret data will prove invaluable, as will your confidence in dealing with others and working in a team. You must also be a tactful communicator with an understanding of Excel.
