TheIT Support Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day support of businessIT and managing assets and peripheral equipment.

Therole will involve ordering, issuing, and controlling equipment as well asassisting staff with initial log on procedures and support through faultreporting processes.

Thisrole is a part-time position, ‘on-site’ at RAF Leeming. Hours will be circa 25 hoursper week, nominally spanning three days.

Core activities.

• Day to day support to users and the company inrelation to IT accounts and assets.

• Order, collection, issue and control of IT assetsand peripheral equipment.

• Configure IT assets to meet company requirements.

• Log user faults and assist with progression andresolution.

• Respond to work requests in line with CustomerSLA’s.

• Support the planning and prioritisation on a rangeof Information Management & Technology activities.

• Support fault investigation tasks.

• Assist in the continuous improvement of Systems andServices.

• Technical understanding of system administration& knowledge of database architecture and supporting application layers.

• Support to users in maintaining IT security in linewith company policies.

Key accountabilities.

Performance indicators – Ensure theeffective provision of IT support activities by meeting delivery targets andreporting any impact on Operations. Understand how individual actionscontribute to overall delivery performance. Completion ofactivities – Ensure all IT support is appropriately documented, and records are maintainedon relevant systems (IT / paper based). Compile required reporting, identifyany issues and escalate as appropriate. Procedure/standards – Comply with thePart 145 Exposition and its associated procedures and standards and any otherCompany procedures and standards, as applicable. Identify and propose changes,as required. Safety ManagementSystem – Ensure Human Factors and Error Management philosophies are applied to all ITsupport activities. Understand the risks associated with IT and the means bywhich they are mitigated and managed. Management SystemAssurance – Ensure IT suppo rt is compliant with the AM&S Governance and Assuranceframework, including supporting Process Confirmations and independent assuranceaudits. Support the response to audit findings in a timely and appropriatemanner and provide information to support the relevant reviews. Support theimplementation of identified improvements to overcome any non-compliance andmonitor effectiveness.

Statutory / Regulatory& Legislative requirements – Able to demonstrate an appropriate level ofunderstanding and application of the relevant Continuing AirworthinessRegulatory framework. Support the implementation of any Regulatory-drivenchanges into IT activities. Ensure compliance with all other requirements, e.g.ITIL, GDPR, ITAR, EaPW, ISO, etc. ContractualRequirements – Ensure compliancewith applicable contractual requirements, e.g. through support to contractreviews and the incorporation of required changes into IT processes.

Requirements

Requires understanding of Information Management &Technology systems, and the principles and approaches that influence theirperformance.

Requires a depth of understanding, knowledge andexperience relevant to IT support functions.

Understanding of the importance of customer service skills in relationto IT support.

Possess an understanding ofITIL frameworks.
