We are a Case Management company, commissioned to provide supervision and management to staff who are employed by the person they work for. When you join a team working with Ben Holden Ltd, you will receive excellent support from a specialist Case Manager and Registered Manager, access to exceptional training to develop your professional knowledge and expertise, and the benefit of forming a meaningful relationship with the person you will be working with, to make a real difference to their life.
We are looking to expand Robbie's current team to support his busy and active life. This team now requires a leader to provide line management to Robbie's support workers daily basis. This role will be split between providing face to face to support to Robbie and leadership/administration tasks
Robbie requires day and nighttime support with all his activities of daily living. He attends a specialist school as a day student, Monday to Friday.
Robbie is a 13-year-old boy you sustained a brain injury at the time of his birth. Robbie uses Makaton Sign Language. Robbie can at times exhibit some challenging behaviours when overwhelmed or frustrated and needs understanding and kind support workers to be responsive to his needs. Training will be provided
Robbie enjoys YouTube and playing with his virtual reality headset. He requires full adult support to access activities, meet his needs and to ensure his safety
To provide line management to Robbie's team of support workers with the support of his case manager
To write care plans and risk assessments to promote enriching and safe support for Robbie
To adhere to local policies and procedures and demonstrate this in daily conduct
To liaise with Robbie's case manager regularly regarding the functioning of his support team, celebrate success, report concerns, and seek assistance as required
To meet Robbie's personal care and hygiene needs. To include washing, dressing, skin, teeth, hair, and nail care.
To enable and promote pursuing therapeutic and leisure activities for Robbie both at home and in the community
To support Robbie in fully engaging in family life
Experience and knowledge of cerebral palsy and working with young people with complex health needs and behaviours that challenge
Experience of writing care plans and risk assessments
Robbie and his family have a positive attitude and a zest for life, they value support workers who are friendly and positive, and who are willing to support them both at home and in the community. Support workers will also need to respect their privacy
Ability to keep accurate care records
Follow local policies and procedures
Current Shift Patterns:
Term Time Weekdays
Term Time Night Shifts - Sunday to Thursday
Weekend days and School Holiday's weekdays
08:15 to 20:30 - Split shifts
Night-time Support at Weekends - Friday and Saturday and school holidays
Candidates with the relevant experience or job titles of: Care Manager, Senior Care Assistant, Healthcare Team Leader, Team Leader, Care Work Assistant, Resident Care Worker, Support Assistant, Healthcare Assistant may also be considered for this role.
