KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overall delivery of individual tenders – on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality
  • Review all EOIs / ITTs and prepare applicable paperwork
  • Support Business Capture/Business Development activities
  • Responsible for supporting and enforcing proposals process
  • Work in and maintain BD/proposals digital management system, ensuring all proposals databases, files and reports are updated on a regular basis
  • Participate in Strategy and Bid / No Bid discussions
  • Development of and responsibility for bid schedule, allocating responsibilities in conjunction with the Bid Team Leader
  • Organise tender meetings, review meetings, ensuring presentations and applicable paperwork have been completed.
  • Ensure all internal and third-party tender input is received by the required dates
  • Liaise with all other Asset Solutions discipline personnel to ensure accurate input to tenders
  • Review, edit and write material for the tender document and take responsibility for production to schedule
  • Check and validate tender answers and edit where agreed Act as customer focal point for tender correspondence e.g. clarifications, meeting requests Etc
  • Building rapport with contributors and senior management to get relevant, accurate and well written copy in time to meet tender deadlines.
  • Challenging the content where required
  • Re-writing copy where necessary in order to bring cohesion to a tender.
  • Verbal communication and presentation skills essential
  • Advise and recommend solutions for tender issues
  • Play more of a project management role in terms of managing the tender through the tender timeline

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Must have previous experience working within a proposals environment
  • Ideally degree qualified in relevant subjects (English, Law, Business etc.) Strong communication, interpersonal, time management, organisational skills are a requirement for this position
  • Excellent written English skills with the ability to craft compelling written responses to complex questions
  • The ability to work to multiple tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications Ability to adapt and work in fast paced working environment Innovative mind set, offering solutions
  • Meticulous attention to detail Ability to plan and prioritise significant workloads Teamwork and cooperation is paramount
  • The candidate must have general knowledge of the energy sector Ability to acquire sufficient knowledge to understand the company’s business and scope of services
