These are high-profileroles leading and co-ordinating the procurement of services across Corporate or Place; ensuring that the Council fulfils its statutory duties and procures services to meet identified need.
Procurement lead for the effective delivery of goods, works or services, for the Council in one of the categories.
Work as a Business Partner, to advise and support the directorates/teams with their procurement and contract management requirements.
Actively challenge and seek solutions to commissioning, procurement and contract management activities, across directorates, to identify opportunities for ensuring sustainable value and quality improvements.

If successful, you would work as part of a highly skilled Procurement team, to procure services, goods and works, which meet the identified needs of local residents, deliver improved outcomes, achieve value for money and support the Council Plan and the Sustainable Procurement Strategy.
We are looking for innovative and creative individual with skills, knowledge, and experience in procurement, who want to make a difference. Degree/relevant professional qualification (CIPS level 4 or above), and/or relevant experience in this field.
Sound working knowledge of Public Procurement Regulations.
Understanding and experience in applying risk management principles.
Knowledge of Social Value and Carbon Zero in Procurement.
