About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our team in the waste industry in the UK. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations including day-to-day quoting as well as building and managing supplier relationships throughout the UK.

The Supply Chain Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of services throughout the supply chain, while also driving cost savings and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimise efficiency, reduce costs, and improve sustainability in the waste industry
  • Manage a small team of buyers and Site Compliance Officers to ensure competitive and sustainable pricing is provided to our team of Business Development Managers.
  • Monitor and analyse supply chain performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, sales, and finance, to align supply chain activities with business objectives
  • Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in supply chain management to drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using industry software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
