Job Description A Heating Installation Unit Engineer in the London area is responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of heating systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a strong understanding of heating technology, safety protocols, and compliance with local regulations. Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications: Responsibilities:

  • Install and commission heating systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This includes connecting pipes, wiring controls, and testing equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of heating systems to ensure optimal performance and identify and address potential issues.
  • Diagnose and repair heating system malfunctions, including replacing faulty components, valves, or pipes.
  • Implement energy-efficient solutions and advise clients on ways to reduce energy consumption and costs.
  • Ensure that all heating installations meet local safety regulations and industry standards. Obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, equipment manuals, and parts inventory.
  • Communicate with clients to assess their heating needs, provide cost estimates, and explain maintenance and repair options.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in heating system installation and maintenance. Experience with different types of heating systems, such as gas, electric, or renewable energy systems.
  • Proficiency in heating system design, installation, and maintenance. Familiarity with a range of heating equipment and control.
  • strong understanding of local and national regulations regarding heating installations and safety standards.
  • The ability to diagnose and solve complex heating system issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with clients and address their heating needs.
  • A commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work safely with heating equipment.
