Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week - day shift
Permanent

Our award winning manufacturing client are looking for a New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to join their team in Poole. This is a excellent opportunity to work with a global company who are introducing and improving their products.

What will the New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer be doing?

  • Overseeing design to production process using Six Sigma or Lean methodology
  • Overseeing improvements to existing and new products
  • Scheduling PPM maintenance
  • Basic troubleshooting of crimping, cutting, stripping and hand tool machinery
  • Participate in cost reduction exercises
  • Analyse and plan workflows, space requirements and equipment placement to maximise efficiency

What we are looking for in the New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer?

  • Strong mechanical assembly experience
  • Knowledge of Electrical wiring and cable assembly
  • HNC/Degree in Mechanical engineering desirable
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • 2D/3D Solidworks or Inventor experience is desired
  • Working knowledge of Lean of Six Sigma is desired
