We are looking to recruit for a Production Planner working for a forward thinking, innovative fast-paced FMCG growing company who has invested huge and is well known for its reputation and successes in their innovative solutions as leaders of their competitors. This is the only plant that does what they do
This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Planner. The Production Planner will be responsible for creating and maintaining production plans and schedules, ensuring that production processes are efficient and cost-effective. They will work closely with the production team to ensure that adequate materials, labour, and equipment are available to meet production targets.
The successful Production Planner will be a joining an A class manufacturing site which tells its own story from the minute you walk into the building. Being part of one of the popular companies in the UK - financial investment is regular in this site and newer sites on the radar. Key Skills for the Production Planner
Production Planner will have previous experience in Production Control/Planning environment.
Understanding of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Enterprise resource management (ERP).
Production Planner will have working knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite.
Key responsibilities for the production planner
Understand Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Production Plan.
Production Planner must ensure available labour hours to match scheduled orders.
Production Planner will be responsible for releasing Work to Shop Floor & coordinate with Team Leaders, warehouses, suppliers, despatch and sales/ commercial.
Production Planner will monitor the execution of production plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion.
Analyse back orders, current orders and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production.
Production Planner will liaise with suppliers, supply chains to remain fully updated on any events resulting in supply discrepancy or interruption.
The production Planner will develop and review production plan with Managers for approval.
Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequences.
Assist with outbound supply chain tasks directly related to production planning, including tasks cover holidays period.
