Field Technical Consultant

My client is looking for an experienced IT Field Consultant to join there established support team in Tamworth. You will primarily be based in the Tamworth office and you will be responsible for working on customer equipment and services in both support and provisioning role. The role will be divided between remote and on site work in the midlands area.

You will be a strong team player and will be expected to understand the requirements of a role providing client support and implementations. You must be able to communicate well and be able to establish good working relationships with the clients customer base.

This will be a Hybrid role with 3 office and 2 home working days.

Essential skills required:

  • Microsoft 365 (Including Sharepoint, Exchange Online)
  • Azure Active Directory
  • On Premise Active Directory
  • Microsoft InTune
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery methods
  • Virtual Environments (Microsoft Hyper-V, VM-Ware)

Desirable skills required:

  • Networking concepts including WAN / LAN / VPN / VLAN
  • Configuration of security software (Anti-Virus, Encryption etc)
  • Remote Desktop Server administration and configuration
  • Email filtering and Security
  • Understanding of Cyber Essentials Technical Controls
  • Power Apps/ Power Bi
  • Configuration of Routers and Firewalls
  • Understanding of industry RMM tools
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and willingness to learn and get "hands on" where required
  • Ability to manage own projects and plan implementations effectively.
