A vacancy has arisen for an experienced Senior, preferably from a Defence or Engineering / Manufacturing sector background to join an established Bristol-based Engineering / Defence Services SME based in Central Bristol. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day Operational Performance oversight. You will be integral to delivering innovative supply chain solutions to support further growth opportunities pursued by the business.
We will support your development funding additional qualifications and strive and support a good work life balance, with an aggressive salary package and profit share scheme.
You’ll be part of an inclusive culture that values diversity, rewards integrity, and merit, and where you’ll be empowered to fulfil your potential. Responsible for developing and maintaining key supplier relationships and support supplier performance improvement.
* Ensure data accuracy of the ERP system is maintained with valid pricing and purchase requirements.
* Support the Procurement Manager in the tendering and sourcing process in accordance with agreed project deliverables.
* Good understanding of Procurement within a Project Management function
* Must be self-motivated with a flexible approach to workload.
* Skills (Microsoft Excel essential).
* Data analysis skills.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience within a procurement environment (essential)
* Full Driving Licence and willingness to travel.
