The UK’s #1 Digital Solutions Provider seeks a talented Automation Tester to support a Central Government Agency in ensuring high-quality QA automation testing across its digital services.

As an Automation Tester, you’ll be essential to delivering high-quality products by designing, executing, and automating tests within an Agile team. You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining automated tests, validating Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), and keeping stakeholders informed of test progress and quality metrics.

Additionally, you’ll promote a culture of quality and actively support Agile practices like retrospectives and planning sessions, ensuring best practices and continuous improvement are met. 5+ years of Automation Testing experience in Agile delivery teams using TDD with Java and a strong foundation in JUnit.
~ Familiarity with PACT frameworks for Consumer Contract testing and an understanding of CI/CD pipelines in Automation Testing.
~ Proficient in command line and scripting languages (Windows or Linux), with good coding skills in SOLID principles, DI, and Design Patterns.
~ Ability to unit test frameworks, with expertise in API testing using Postman, and proficiency in Cypress and Docker for container testing.
~ Experience with GitLab for test automation storage and familiarity with tools such as SonarQube, Jenkins, Splunk, Gatling, Serenity, Cucumber, Selenium, Wiremock, Hamcrest, AWS CloudWatch, Jira, and Confluence.
~ Experience with mocks and stubs, advanced knowledge of DevOps and Agile development, and the ability to lead projects and design test strategies.
