Overview:

Everest People Solutions are recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a welcoming accounts team at a business based in Alfreton. Key Duties & Responsibilities for the Credit Controller

  • Follow up with customers regarding overdue payments, including sending duplicate invoices and statements.
  • Address inquiries related to outstanding invoices.
  • Utilize telephone, email, and written communication to remind customers of overdue invoices or debts within agreed-upon timeframes.
  • Adapt credit control strategies as needed to effectively manage accounts.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of all communication and follow-up activities.
  • Ensure timely and comprehensive responses to both customer and internal inquiries.
  • Collaborate with customers and finance managers to address problematic accounts and negotiate payment arrangements when necessary.
  • Establish new accounts, offering suitable terms based on credit evaluations and trade references.
  • Handle cash allocation and maintain account details.
  • Coordinate with credit claims and pricing departments to resolve payment-related issues.
  • Initiate legal action for debt collection when standard credit control measures are unsuccessful.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks within the scope of the position.

Requirements for the Credit Controller

  • High proficiency in computer usage, specifically in credit control operations.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a Credit Control role.
  • Dedication with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
  • Flexibility, confidence, dedication, and professionalism, with the ability to anticipate and address concerns proactively.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • At least intermediate proficiency in Excel.
