Retailer Marketing Manager

Lead for dealer/retailer marketing. Responsible for the strategy, planning and activation of key marketing initiatives that support the retailer network, to generate leads and achieve commercial objectives.

Hyundai is a brand revolutionising the automotive industry. Would you like to help shape the dawn of the new Hyundai and drive mass conversion to electric vehicles?

The Retailer Marketing role manages omni-channel tactical marketing campaigns activated on behalf of the Hyundai franchise network. To do so, you will communicate and work with the retailer network to ensure they have the right tools, assets and marketing activity to support them to deliver their sales forecasts.

Integration with the wider marketing team is essential to ensure alignment with national communications. You will need to work closely with the Digital Customer Experience Team to ensure data integration, lead management and digital campaign tracking, which is critical to deliver attribution reporting and demonstrate tangible ROI internally and to the network.

Leading teams across multiple agency partners, the Retailer Marketing Manager will need to inspire others to get the best possible output. The role has one direct report and oversees a dedicated agency-based Retailer Marketing Service team of five.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute retailer marketing activities, driving leads to the network and helping these convert to sales.
  • Support the retailer network with marketing assets and programmes and ensure brand compliance and full network engagement.
  • Manage the Hyundai Retailer Marketing Service (HRMS) agency to deliver marketing programmes that provide a consistent brand image, supporting national and global campaigns.
  • Manage and evolve quarterly tactical marketing campaigns for retailers across a range of sales channels, including new, fleet, Approved Used and Motability, in accordance with Hyundai UK priorities and direction.
  • Work with the sales and supply teams to understand commercial priorities and agree the focus of the quarterly campaigns.
  • Work in conjunction with agencies, ensuring they are fully briefed on objectives with the resulting activity delivered on brand, on time and to budget.
  • Work with the Product team to provide retailers with effective product launch campaigns, including brochure, digital and point-of-sale materials.
  • Give guidance to the retailer network via the extended retailer marketing team on campaign strategy and deployment.
  • Work with the Brand Communications Manager to ensure the brand message runs through all tactical marketing, ensuring campaign creative and messaging is aligned for each customer touchpoint.
  • Create, develop and produce digital brochures.
  • Oversee production of materials within the retailer network, including point-of-purchase materials, specifications for silent salesmen and re-purposing of ATL materials and social content for use across retailer screen infrastructure.
  • Develop and communicate retailer guidelines, including latest brand and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to discuss and assess marketing compliance and opportunities.
  • Work with the appropriate colleagues to assist in the planning and execution of all tactical Retailer event activity, including used, fleet and aftersales.
  • Set and report on KPIs and targets. Analyse retailer marketing performance and set recommendations for the future, demonstrating how we are pushing the brand forwards.
  • Manage budgets effectively including robust cost control.
  • Maintain strict adherence to the Hyundai Brand Identity; ensure consistency and conformity in all internal and external communications across all areas of the network.

Person Specification

  • A proficient marketing professional with a firm understanding of key marketing principles
  • The ability to "make things happen"
  • Understanding of the automotive marketplace and a passion for automotive - but experience within an automotive OEM is not a must
  • A strong eye for insights that can feed creative and marketing strategies
  • Project management skills are vital; managing budget, maintaining a schedule and ensuring the campaign output achieves the objectives are vitally important
  • Agency management experience
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to build strong relationships outside of your own team
  • Ability to influence and guide internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority
  • Analytically minded with a good understanding of data
  • Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise
  • Efficient and exceptional attention to detail
  • Capable of working under pressure and tight deadlines
  • People management skills and talent development

Become part of a Global Company with a history of success and ambitious plans for the future. Please apply by creating your Candidate Profile and attaching your application documents in English.
