Proactive Personnel Wolverhampton are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our clients team. As a Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to specifications. This is a temp to perm position.

Duties:
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Determine the sequence of operations and select the appropriate tooling
- Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate bending angles and dimensions
- Monitor machine operations to detect any issues or malfunctions
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Perform routine maintenance on machines as needed
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

Skills:
- Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions
- Mechanical knowledge to understand machine operations and make adjustments
- Ability to weld and fabricate sheet metal parts is a plus
- Proficient in using hand tools for assembly and finishing tasks
- Familiarity with different types of tooling used in press brake operations
- Attention to detail to ensure precise bending angles and dimensions
- Ability to grind and smooth finished products for a polished appearance

Experience:

-Preferable over 2 years press brake operating

-Must be familiar and comfortable with heavy steel lifting and safety
