As Associate Director for IT you will lead the seamless operation of the Society’s IT functions across all our services. This includes safeguarding digital assets through robust cybersecurity measures, designing scalable and efficient IT solutions, providing timely and effective support through the helpdesk. Your remit will also entail leading others to ensure reliable service delivery, driving innovation in software development, and maintaining a resilient and high-performing digital infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in aligning technology initiatives with business goals, mitigating risks, and empowering the organisation to leverage technology for growth and success.
Develop and implement an IT operations strategy that supports our future needs and enhances service levels.
Foster and develop excellent relationships with IT vendors, challenging where required and managing budgets to ensure efficient allocation of resources.
Oversee IT service delivery, including a helpdesk team and ensuring system availability.
Work collaboratively with other business units, aligning IT initiatives with overall business goals.
Engage closely with the Head of Cybersecurity to enhance security capabilities and integrate cybersecurity measures across IT delivery.
Lead IT transformation projects and foster a culture of change management and continuous improvement.
Upskill and mentor IT and digital teams to enhance their capabilities and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Provide data led oversight on governance and change management across various IT projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
Proven expertise as a Head of IT or IT Director within an enterprise level organisation, with a background in IT service delivery and/or operational excellence.
Demonstrable experience in supplier management and achieving cost efficiencies, ideally within complex multi-supplier environments.
Detailed and credible knowledge of cloud-based systems and managing high-risk systems and mitigating for future technical requirements.
Successful leadership of IT transformation projects, with a focus on improving service delivery and business continuity.
Passion for mentoring and developing talent, driving a culture of growth and learning within the IT team.
