We are seeking a Commercial and Regulatory Lawyer to join our Compliance Team as in-house legal counsel.
Reporting to the Compliance Board, the successful candidate will provide legal expertise to the firm. legal advice to the Compliance Team on regulatory matters, including SRA and data protection issues.
and advising on regulatory returns and responses, as well complaints and claims.
data protection analysis on suppliers, services, and products.
the firm’s legal documentation, such as procurement processes, privacy policies, and contract databases.
Applicants should have a strong knowledge of commercial and regulatory law, particularly as it applies to solicitors' practices.
Ideal candidates will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to manage projects autonomously. Building rapport with internal stakeholders and providing clear, practical advice is essential. We are looking for candidates with robust academic qualifications and significant experience in commercial and regulatory law, gained at a Legal 500/Chambers-ranked firm or an equivalent in-house legal team.
