The Bloomberg Broadway Sales Specialist is responsible for generating new revenue and leading the sales process for our Fixed Income EMS solution to sell-side clients ranging from regional organizations to large global banks. The sales specialist will understand the client’s business objectives and gather the necessary business requirements to deliver customized sales presentations and demonstrations. You will be trusted to support brand awareness initiatives both internally within Bloomberg and externally; building key relationships with decision makers and be expected to maintain in-depth market knowledge, understand trends in the EMS space, and analyze the competitive landscape. Finally, you will manage the sales lifecycle from inception through completion, by working with various internal teams including the account managers, pre-sales specialists, professional services, and product teams.
Establish and implement a pipeline building strategy by developing key customer relationships with business and technical decision makers to maximize sales opportunities
Balance multiple engagements across the sales lifecycle to achieve targets
Coordinate the full enterprise sales process across a variety of different business units in close collaboration with our OMS franchise TOMS and Risk (MARS)
Engage with customers using a consultative approach to identify workflow gaps within the Sell-side value chain, and collaborate closely with pre-sales specialists
Participate and lead sales presentations demonstrating functionality and workflows that address customer needs
5+ years experience in financial services technology solutions sales where you have met or exceeded demanding targets
~ Solid understanding of the trading technologies used in the capital markets industry
~ Familiarity with low latency trading concepts
~ Highly proactive approach and confidence in sales approach and strategy
~ Exemplary presentation, training, and communication skills
~ Project management and organizational skills
~ The ability for regular travel
~ Secondary European language
