About the Company:

Our client is a highly experienced solar energy focused business, providing valuable and effective renewable energy solutions. Their objective is to help organisations reduce their carbon footprint by harnessing the power of the sun across a number of environmentally advantageous and commercially beneficial platforms, utilising property and resources predominantly already in-situ. Essentially, they are a company who recognise, take advantage of and optimise non-revenue producing assets by converting them into green fundable income streams.

About the Role:

They are seeking a talented Project Manager to join their team. In this role, you will work within the Operations Team delivering solar projects to our customers. You will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and implementation of solar projects. Working closely with the Operations Director, clients, contractors, partners and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all parties involved.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing project plans, budgets, and timelines for solar projects.
  • Track key milestones and progress through the stages of the delivery process.
  • Configure and produce regular reports on delivery status, upcoming milestones, key risks and issues.
  • Monitor and report on project progress to senior project managers.
  • Guide clients through their solar project.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Assist in managing project risks and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead client project meetings and provide updates on project status.
  • Maintain Risk, Issues and Actions (AIR) registers across each project.
  • Manage and resolve project issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Design and capture processes and improvements over time
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Provide administrative support to senior project managers as needed.
  • Coordinate tenders and analyse responses.
  • File critical business documents and make them available to internal staff and customers.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in project management
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to succinctly capture ideas or issues.
  • Communicate intelligently and effectively around project timelines, deadlines and deliverables.
  • Ability to think from the customer’s point of view.
  • Highly motivated by the successful outcome of projects.
  • Ability to prioritise work within and across projects.
  • Takes pride in being patient, understanding and alert to customer concerns.
  • Proficient in project management tools and techniques including task management software and GANTT charts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of solar energy systems and their installation is a plus.
