As a Functional Assessor you will work autonomously to assess the cases of people who are applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit as part of the DWPs Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS). Our roles offer you the chance for a change of direction from the standard healthcare professional role, whilst providing you the opportunity to maintain and develop your clinical registration, skills, and knowledge. We have great opportunities for development and progression within PFAS including Clinical Coaching, Training Roles, and Clinical Support Managers.

Full time: 40 hours
By completing thorough assessments and examinations via telephone, video call, or face-to-face means you will assess how our claimant’s disability/condition/illness impacts their functional ability on daily activities in a respectful, non-biased and reassuring manner.
With proven experience of working within a medical background you will;
· Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.
A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (listed below)
· Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office
Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN)
Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
· Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT’s (COT)
21 Days AL (increasing to 25 days from January 2025) plus 8 bank holidays.
