Here at Leonardo Hotels we have an absolutely wonderful opportunity for a Deputy Director of Meetings & Events.
You will have overall responsibility for the meetings and event function in the UK and Ireland. Through effective management of the M&E team you will be able to demonstrate first class customer service skills, have the ability to adapt and multi task whilst having that keen eye for detail.
There will be 2 key elements to your role, office management and functional reporting.
The role will report to the Group – Director of Meetings & Events and involves working closely with all functional heads.
The ability to prioritise and delegate work whilst also providing training and coaching
~ 1 year management experience
~ Knowledge of hotels’ competitors and their Conference products and services.
~ Over-arching responsibility for office management including service delivery (BDRC), conversion and processes
Deputise for the Group Director of Meetings and Events when required
Improve employee engagement and retention via function training, coaching reward & recognition
Christmas – provide the business with performance, drive key actions to drive demand & conversion
Work along side 3rd parties like Venue Directory and meetingspackage to drive performance
Present functional revenue, people and service performance to all levels of the business
Work with property teams, M&E Revenue Manager and Proactive Sales to ensure both short- and long-term targets are achieved.
Work with the M&E Revenue Manager to ensure that pricing framework is implemented and adhered to across the standalone offices.
Through effective management of the team ensure, Opera S&C, Opera PMS and Smartspace are updated with accurate and relevant information as well as produce any reports that are required in order to measure progress and opportunity.
Work alongside the National Account M&E Sales Team to drive enquiries into the properties
Ensure competitor SWOT analysis calls and site visits take place on a regular basis.
Ensure rounded knowledge of competitor set facilities and offering.
