Psychology is located within the School of Education, Language and Psychology, and it sits alongside Counselling, Languages and Linguistics, Initial Teacher Education, and Children, Young People and Education.
Psychology is an ambitious and growing academic unit within the School. Consistently excellent teaching and an inclusive ethos provide an exceptional experience for students, as demonstrated by a consistently strong performance in the National Student Survey. Taught programmes in Psychology include a suite of BPS-accredited undergraduate degrees, taught Master’s programmes, and an accredited professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology.
We are seeking a capable and compassionate academic to lead Psychology in the next phase of its development. The successful candidate will demonstrate an established research profile allied to our existing research strengths, as demonstrated by published outputs and external grant capture.
