Migrant Employment Lead (Interim Manager)
Hybrid Working - On site required – Car will be necessary
Our client is currently looking for a Migrant Employment Lead (Interim Manager) on a basis of 6 months initially. The purpose of the job is to work as a member of the Children, Education and Families (CEF) team where you will be responsible for developing, leading and managing employment and qualifications conversion support to an increasing number of newly arrived migrants for whom limited English hinders integration.
The postholder will work within the Migrant Education, Employment and Adult Skills team, and also, for the Migration Partnership. The role is integral to the Migrant Employment Framework that supports newly arrived migrants into work for education. A major focus will be on 16–19-year-olds in a co-ordinated approach that links school EAL to adult ESOL.
Funding supports working with Ukrainian/Afghan/Hong Kong (BNO) residents across the county of the local area
Work with a wide range of data sets including local and government sources
Work with known organisations who have ongoing established information on EAL/ESOL, and organisations with up-to-date project data
Line manage the work of the 16-19 Careers Coordinator and Migrant Work Experience and Volunteer Coordinator
