Job Description Finance Administrator - Reading (on-site initially) - £32,000

An exciting opportunity to join our clients operating in the Education sector as they look to grow their operational sites tenfold

Ultimately you will be responsible for the processing of financial transactions and the maintenance of accurate financial records, you will also have line management responsibility of a Finance Assistant, the role does offer a lot more than this and gives you the opportunity to get hands on with a broad range of responsibilities.

We have worked with these guys for a while now, the CFO is lovely, encouraging, and willing to share her time and experience in order to allow you to grow in your Accountancy & Finance career.

Complete income processing, including money received including an online payment system on Sage.


~ Manage expenditure and payments of invoices including overseeing the processing of orders, invoices, and payment authorisations onto the accounting system and preparing the BACs run.


~ Complete the month end processes as detailed on the month end checklist, including preparing the monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, VAT return, catering reallocation journal, print recharges, review of outstanding POs, unauthorised invoices, aged debtors and creditors ledgers.


~ Assist with the production of the monthly Management Accounts.


~ Assist the CFO with the compilation of all statutory returns, including accounts returns and preparation of the accounts for annual audit.


~ At least AAT Level 3.
Experienced in Accounts reconciliations.
Posses an understanding core double entry bookkeeping principles.
Experienced with online payment systems - this is a plus but NOT a must.
