The role:

  • We are looking to recruit an Assistant Project Manager to join our Central Rail Systems Alliance (CRSA) team, helping secure and to deliver £ multi-Million rail infrastructure projects and programmes of works across the portfolio.
  • The role is to manage our experienced design and delivery organisations, located in the UK and abroad and manage key client accounts to ensure CRSA are the first choice for our clients.
  • Travel can be expected within the role to be present in project, CRSA and client offices depending on project requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of major multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, delivering on time and to budget.
  • Support the win work process in bid management and securing future opportunities and growth.
  • To ensure Safety is maintained and promoted along with promoting the highest standards of safety at site.
  • To establish & build relationships with Alliance partners, key suppliers, contractors & internal stakeholders.
  • Managing supply chain and sub-contracts with confidence.
  • Managing a range of design disciplines and projects; managing multiple demands and stakeholders at a given time.

Requirements:

  • Experience of managing projects or people across multiple locations.
  • Experience with managing delivery of projects to budget, programme, and client requirements.
  • Experience of Network Rail Engineering Design processes and requirements is desirable.
  • Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft office suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Able to establish and build relationships with suppliers, client/contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Good communication, teamwork, negotiation, conflict management and leadership skills.
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent.
  • Qualifications and membership to the Association for Project Management or relevant body are desirable.
