Contract: 12-month FTC
SRG are looking for a liquid scientist to work with a global beverage brand based in Bishops Stortford, To make innovation the driver for organic growth and build shareholder value by creating highly differentiated new products (Liquids), which satisfy consumer and customer needs. To drive competitive advantage through commercially focused technological innovation ensuring delivery of goals within budget informed by consumer & strategic science activity.

The ideal candidate would be an experienced food or beverage research scientist, with a proven track record of managing technical projects, and an in depth knowledge of formulation experiment design relating to the food and beverage industry.

Leads development of 5-7 products/year and/or the highest business priority projects.
Consistently creates exceptional/winning liquids that meet KPI’s – enjoys creative work on the bench.
Independently creates smart design and liquid strategy – Aligns strategy with manager, marketing and Sensory/Research Planner.
With support, holds tension with supply to ensure quality of execution to shelf.
Education - Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Food Science, or related discipline required. Engineering or Applied Science Degree or recognised technical equivalent
Experience – Requires 5+ years of relevant project and/or research experience (Food or Beverage) including doctoral or post-doctoral research. Proven track record of managing technical projects through to execution. Beverage development experience preferred.
