Our client has exclusively engaged us to source a Chief Medical Officer to head up medical functions on a country level. With a focus on innovation, patient care, and public health, the successful candidate will help deliver cutting-edge solutions across Wales to meet the healthcare needs of a diverse population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement national clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes and enhance healthcare delivery across Wales.
- Oversee clinical governance, ensuring compliance with national health policies, regulations, and standards.
- Collaborate with government health departments, public health bodies, and key stakeholders to align organisational goals with national health priorities.
- Lead efforts to address public health challenges, innovate care models, and respond to evolving healthcare needs.
- Drive national research, development, and medical innovation initiatives to ensure best practices are implemented across all regions.
- Serve as the lead medical advisor to the executive team, providing expert guidance on public health, clinical operations, and healthcare policy.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD/DO) with full registration and the ability to practice within Wales.
- Extensive experience in senior clinical leadership roles, ideally within a national or large-scale healthcare system.
- Deep knowledge of public health, healthcare policy, and clinical governance at the national level.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead large teams and influence national healthcare decisions.
- A passion for improving population health and advancing healthcare equity across regions.
